Marketing Director Overview

Our Marketing Director has primary responsibility for management and development of Stay Alfred's robust marketing practice, in coordination with the VP of Marketing. The role directly oversees a cross-functional team of specialists and coordinates with trusted partners in the delivery of an industry-leading multichannel marketing program. Our Marketing Director is responsible for the measurable success of marketing activity that includes but is not limited to: direct bookings via ecommerce, marketing automation to support the guest experience, social media engagement, email marketing, digital demand generation, the guest loyalty program, brand continuity in the guest experience, public relations, and more.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor a highly productive team of designers, writers, marketing specialists and project managers
  • Work closely with other members of the marketing organization to develop brand standards for the company, and identifying new opportunities to enhance the brand across all media
  • Manage and optimize marketing components of a tech-enabled customer experience, including online booking, guest communication, customer loyalty, and database marketing to drive repeat purchase; liaise with the technology team on delivery of these components
  • Oversee implementation of the Marketing strategy across multiple projects at a time - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR
  • Working closely with the company's real estate team, enable them to meet their new unit acquisition objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations
  • Guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing team
  • Coordinate closely with revenue, distribution, and operations teams to ensure alignment of marketing activity to monthly revenue goals.
  • Support accountability for our marketing practice through KPI measurement and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
  • Proven success in senior marketing roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience in web, digital, email, and traditional advertising.
  • 5+ years in leading marketing teams and individuals in challenging projects
  • Specific experience in digital marketing, database marketing, and online user experience, with the ability to lead integrated, cross-functional projects that support a digital-centric customer journey
  • Specific experience with Hubspot or similar marketing automation toolsets
  • Sophisticated knowledge of design and marketing principles, including potential, as well as limitations, of online and offline media;
  • Ability to lead multiple projects at a time from concept to completion.
  • Collaborates with business leaders to translate goals into winning and impactful marketing campaigns
  • A confident builder and leader of teams, mentoring and guiding marketing talent inside and outside of the organization
Travel

Travel requirements for the position are modest; the director may visit Stay Alfred properties several times a year. If the director is remote, regular monthly travel to company headquarters in Spokane would be expected.
