Applications Support Specialist - API , SQL We are a software company that provides crucial data to the automotive dealer space. We need an application support specialist to work with our customer to provide comprehensive pre and post technical, training, IT, and product subject matter expertise to support. All of our customers needs differ a bit, so you will be working customize the set up to optimize the use of our product. The customers will connect with our application and SQL database using API's . So you will need to have a strong understanding of APIs, be able to understand the structure of SQL databases, how to access different tables, change/reorganize data fields , etc. You will assist with development and implementation of product support processes, support materials, and training deliverables.

What You Will Be Doing

- Soft-selling: Consult with customers to understand their business and optimize product usage. Introduce other JATO solutions and services, and communicate customer needs to the Sales team.
- Error Reporting: Report any data errors or software problems in the respective systems as requested in internal policies and procedures.
- Communication: Share experiences and knowledge with global offices and the RBU North America team.
- Reporting: Proactive follow up meetings and reporting to customer. Report internally the time spent on all custom services provided (CRM Service Activities).
- Support: Provide first line support on technical, IT, product and/or databases issues on JATOs products. Qualify and try to solve issues before handing them over to second line technical support team for resolution or further investigation.
- Customer specific changes: Determine customer requirements and assist sales staff in estimating the work and maintenance, customisation costs, delivery time. Manage the products presentation and installation at client sites and manage the delivery of customer specific projects.

Service:
- Maintain products used by customers ensuring they are using the latest software and production platform (plan migration and updates).
- User Acceptance Testing: Participate in all UAT of new product releases prior to product launch.
- Training able to identify client pre and post sales training, and other product related requirements. Able to deliver product training and trouble shooting at customer sites or virtual.
- Excellent knowledge of the MS office product range (especially Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint), and SharePoint.
- Identify new business and sales opportunities through client interaction and be proactive in communicating to sales department and in local meetings.
- Build strong internal and external relationships to add and enhance value to our clients and promote Voice of the Customer.

Additional preferred qualifications:

-IT : working knowledge of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), SQL Server, QA, database management, hardware, support and infrastructures. Able to investigate, resolve, and articulate technical problems remotely or at client sites with limited support.

What You Need for this Position

- Must possess a minimum 5 years of experience with an OEM, automotive data solutions, and/or digital e-commerce industry providing customer product and support experience.
- Must possess a minimum of 2 year experience working in a sales-support environment.
- Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience developing and delivering training relevant to the essential functions of this job description.
- Must possess demonstrated effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including customer facing presentations.
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others across different business cultures and work groups.
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
-Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
- Must possess the ability to maintain flexibility to travel (25%)
- Requires valid Driver's License
- Proof of eligibility to travel internationally required
- Global experience preferred
