Marketing Operations Manager

This position is responsible for managing and leading the Marketing Operations team for the Pharma Services Group of Thermo Fisher Scientific- a $4B business. Supports the Marketing department by providing technical ownership and recommendations for the various digital tools, software, web applications utilized by the Marketing department. Additionally, the Marketing Operations team is responsible for the measurement and evaluation of marketing tactic and campaign performance, including KPI target setting and monthly reporting and analytics. This role supervisors two employees, one local and one remote.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:
  • Management and strategic oversight of small and large digital/web projects, including cross functional project management between internal and external stakeholders. Business owner of two websites: and
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and maintain core marketing operations processes to support collaboration and communication among the marketing and marketing operations teams. Identify gaps in internal processes and systems, and optimize workflows where possible
  • Management of digital paid search campaigns such as Google Ads (AdWords) and LinkedIn Sponsored Content
  • Management and strategic oversight of SEO/SEM processes and tools, such as Moz, SEMRush and ScreamingFrog
  • Collaboration with team and internal stakeholders to set annual targets and goals for marketing activities, tactics, and campaigns. Work with Marketing Operations team to facilitate monthly/quarterly Marketing performance report outs
  • Evaluation of digital tools, software, vendors, and other external partners/stakeholders to recommend optimal solutions for company needs
Skills and Experience Requirements:
  • Experience leading team of technical employees (analysts, web developers)
  • Experience leading and managing digital projects
  • Strategic thinker who can build processes and act as internal advisor and consultant to team
  • 4-6 years of experience with hands-on management and execution of digital initiatives such as SEO/SEM, UX/UI, and web/digital best practices
