JOB DESCRIPTION: Copywriter

 

The Copywriter role is a full-time position, best suited for someone who’s worked in a healthcare agency and is looking to join a close-knit, collaborative team. The Copywriter knows what it takes to develop and execute successful communications for various audiences and is responsible for concept development and execution of copy that is engaging, concise, and on-brand for a variety of marketing collateral.

 

Job Description:

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working within a creative team environment to develop conceptual approaches to meet Client objectives
  • Developing copy for a variety of brand communication materials including, but not limited to, direct mail, sales materials, templates, invitations and web banners
  • Developing promotional copy compliant with FDA guidance and regulations
  • Working closely with editors to ensure accuracy and consistency in all work, and a willingness to edit and adapt work as requested by internal and client teams
  • Accurately reference and annotate all work for Med/Legal/Reg submissions and review
  • Develop a sound understanding of marketing/advertising strategy as well as medical and scientific information that pertain to clients’ brands
  • Establish and maintain positive, productive relationships with all members of agency team with constant communication and collaboration

 

Qualifications:

 

  • English, Journalism, or other writing-related degree
  • At least 2-3 years' experience working as a writer in a healthcare agency
  • Familiarity with AMA Style and FDA regulations for promotional material
  • High level of professionalism and superior writing skills
  • Exceptional grammar and proofreading skills
  • Ability to quickly execute hot projects with excellence
  • Ability to work in print media, and have an understanding of other forms of media
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of projects for numerous brands, and execute in a timely manner
  • Confidence in presenting your work and articulating your ideas with internal and client teams
