Community Manager (Developer Forums) Cambridge, Portsmouth, Remote US


Location: Cambridge, Portsmouth, Remote US

The HubSpot Community was built to provide a vibrant channel where all HubSpot users can ask questions, share knowledge and connect with people and businesses around the world who are growing better with HubSpot. In support of this mission, the HubSpot Community Team is looking for an experienced Community Manager to help us build and scale our Developer Forum and enable peer-to-peer support and collaboration.

In this role, you'll be pioneering a community engagement strategy for HubSpot's developers and will be directly responsible for ensuring our developer community is engaged, informed, and equipped. You'll work cross-functionally across Customer Success, Product, Developer Relations, and Marketing to drive Developer Forum adoption and engagement and will take on new goals and projects as HubSpot continues to drive customer value with the HubSpot Community.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Own and execute on the roadmap for community growth and evolution in the Developer Forum.
  • Monitor all posts on the community daily, and ensure that all queries are posted correctly, are responded to in a timely manner, and are getting maximum community visibility.
  • Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, developers, partners, and departments such as Customer Success, Marketing, Product and Support.
  • Build and grow a network of subject matter experts who can effectively share their knowledge and respond to specific questions.
  • Support and evolve our superuser program and reputation/rewards programs for HubSpot's developers.
  • Collaborate with the Community Team, Marketing and Product to create editorial calendars that keep the community engaged and growing
  • Partner with Community Team manager to oversee technical, integration, and system administration aspects of the community (we use the Khoros community platform)

We are looking for people who:

  • Are passionate about the developer experience and growing active and vibrant communities
  • Have a strong conceptual understanding of front-end and server-side web development, understand how APIs are used, and can comfortably leverage API documentation to familiarize themselves with the functionality of an external app's endpoints.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively with others across a large organization
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage time, multiple tasks, and deadlines effectively
  • Are analytically minded, with experience leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions
  • Are self-starters able to thrive in a fast-paced, global, and dynamic environment
  • Are an active member of an online community
