Role: Event Management - (Remote)

Location: Detroit, MI USA

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple events simultaneously, working with internal teams, external vendors and suppliers.
  • Develop event program plans in collaboration with demand generation and field marketing teams; execute against event logistical plans.
  • Ensure brand compliance with events and event materials.
  • Ensure clear and pre- / post-event logistic communication and event submission deadlines.
  • Manage all scheduling for customer meetings with senior leadership and sales teams.
  • Oversee logistics on event days including set-up/breakdown, registration, facilitation of the senior leadership on site, and all customer service needs.
  • Partner with demand generation and field marketing teams to ensure promotion of attendance and optimize integrated pre, during and post event engagement.
  • Event evaluation to determine suitability for go to market strategy
  • Provide overall direction, guidance, and cross-training for negotiations from pre to post events.
  • Assistance in administration, invoicing, logistical planning and management of events
  • Execute event logistical planning up to and through on-site event execution; provide logistical briefing documents

Experience & Background

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategizing, planning and executing events (tradeshows, conferences, partner events, and hosted events).
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communications skills; ability to work well with others and be an advisor to senior leadership to ensure flawless on-site execution.
  • Motivated self-starter, able to operate independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment under high-pressure deadlines.
  • Experience managing project teams, agency partners and venue staff.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
  • An innovative attitude of initiative with the reputation for being a quick learner and self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, geographically diverse, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Ability to travel to execute event program management
