POSITION: Portfolio Manager (Full Time, Exempt) DIRECT REPORT: Director of Operations SUMMARY This position is primarily responsible for overseeing on-site operations from the corporate level across a portfolio of remote residential housing properties. RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to) Maintains all operational property information: vendor contacts, employee rosters, budgets, marketing strategy, etc. on a weekly and monthly basis.Acts as the key point of contact between Cardinal HQ and the on-site teams.Prepares and interprets reports necessary for auditing property performance.Provides direct support to the Property Managers to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed according to best practice.Monitors team member performance and acts as an advisor for team member development and corrective action when necessary, including oversight of bi-annual performance reviews.Contributes to capital improvement projects as needed.Participates in Cardinal U training as required and monitors Team Member participation in Cardinal U. QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years of relevant industry experienceSuccessful leadership and motivation of direct reports in previous rolesExcellent time management and organization skills as well as a professional attitudeAbility to meet strict deadlines and prioritizeMust have EXCELLENT analytical skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethicAbility to problem solve and think outside of the boxWilling to travel a minimum of 8-12 weeks per yearProfessional written and verbal communication as well as great interpersonal skills requiredCustomer service focused (i.e. generating accurate and timely results and effectively communicating to team members, co-workers, and management)Bachelor's degree preferredReal Estate brokerage license preferredAbility to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal's Core Values every day COMPENSATION:Biweekly, plus Benefits and Bonus eligibility WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Routine local travel is required to attend training classes, client visits, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position. Overnight travel required to attend company functions, training, property visits, and other situations necessary for the accomplishment of special projects that may be assigned from time to time.
