Regional Director of Marketing

The Regional Director of Marketing is responsible setting region-wide marketing strategy that supports the achievement of top line and bottom line growth. Work with mall marketing teams to accomplish goals. The position will be remote.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Setting region-wide marketing strategy that supports the achievement of top line and bottom line growth
• Understanding the demographics of the markets we serve and how those demographics relate to our retailer mix in order to drive customer traffic
• Developing strategies to attract both current and desired future customers to the property as well as increase length of their trip
• Developing short-term (1-year) long-term (3-year) business strategies and solutions that support operating standards, leasing/merchandising direction& criteria, amenities& services
• Leading the efforts to understand of the appropriate approach and medium to use that aligns with the various consumer segments by property
• Leading development and evaluation of quantitative plans for marketing programs, services and amenities
• Developing creative partnerships that drive awareness and traffic that correlates to sales
• Identifying new business and revenue opportunities, critical needs, economics, tools and resources to balance the“experience” with the“economics” necessary to impact long-term capture rate and market saturation levels against established individual asset metrics to ensure we yield highly productive/profitable properties
• Communicating across all business functions including Leasing, Asset Management, Development, Finance, Operations, Security, Corporate Marketing
• Supporting Development through creating messaging for optimal customer experience during property refreshes, expansions and renovations
• Establishing standards and best practices
• Supporting the needs of the individual strategic business plans of each property
• Recruiting, developing and managing high performance Marketing Director talent

• A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in marketing
• 5+ years in retail and/or related shopping center experience
• Minimum 2-3 years management experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate with and make presentations to: retailers, leasing, event and sponsorship prospects
• Ability to work independently combined with a strong collaborative style of communication
• Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and research
• Strong verbal and written communications skills; plus interpersonal and selling skills required
• Ability to develop strategic solutions required
• Persuasion and conflict resolution skills required
• Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization and ability to work and learn independently and in a team situation
• Ability to learn and use new systems (Sales Force)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to deal with multiple tasks effectively and establish priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent PC, Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
