Customer Service Representative
Our Company is one of the world's leading producers of medical draping solutions, focusing on microscope and equipment covers, patient draping, and surgical accessories, as well as plastics for orthopedic soft-goods and after surgery applications. Our fully integrated services include design and engineering, manufacturing, and delivery of FDA approved products ready for distribution and use in medical facilities. For over 30 years we have provided OEM solutions to the medical industry leading brands across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
We are seeking an experience candidate to join our Global Supply Chain department working out of our Houston office. This position is full time 8AM to 5PM, M-F and does not support a remote worker. The position will report to the Director, Global Operations who also sits in Houston, TX.
In the role, you will use your customer service skills to manage incoming calls, email and fax connects with our customers, data management skills to prepare reports, enter data into our ERP system (MS Dynamics AX), and provide various teams with the data necessary to ensure on time deliveries to customers. There will also be heavy global communication, internally and externally, within the position daily responsibilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls, emails and faxes from customer base with various responses and action items.
Receive all guests (about 1 a week, we do not have a formal reception area).
Order Entry and Management
Enter customer orders into Dynamics AX.
Enter purchase orders into the system and process receipts for materials - globally.
Work with Sales Team to provide supporting data as needed
Prepare weekly demand requirements for review with supervisor and others as needed.
Prepare monthly inventory reports for all locations to support the Accounting function at month end.
Follow up with entities on status of previous week shipments.
Obtain price quotes from vendors as needed.
Product Sampling inventory and sample request fulfillment.
Arrange for outbound sample shipments via FedEx or other preferred carrier - domestic.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelors Degree from an accredited University required; field of Supply Chain highly preferred.
MS Office Suite proficient, heavy Excel experience required.
Understanding of the principals and terminology of Supply Chain (sales and purchase orders, inventory, ocean and air logistics).
Customer Service experience highly preferred.
Creative and problem solving mindset.
Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
Strong professional communication skills and ability to understand and communicate timelines and changing priorities.
2+ years experience with logistics, supply chain management, forecasting and/ or demand planning preferred.
1+ year experience with an international company preferred but not required.
Experience within the medical device industry preferred but not required.

Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
