Marketing Communications Writer


Our client, the largest Managed Healthcare, for profit firm, is currently seeking a Marketing Communications Writer position for a 3+ month contract position with the opportunity for extension. This is position with our client based in Virginia Beach, VA.

Work schedule: 40 hours/week - Monday-Friday

Pay rate - $25.00 - $27.50/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION:

***Contractors will be working from home initially, until the shelter-in-place order is lifted in VA, then will onsite full-time. Candidates must be local to Virginia Beach, VA area.***

Summary:

Responsible for providing creative and technical writing support for less complex marketing communication materials.

Primary duties to include:
  • Assists in developing creative writing solutions that provide a consistent message about our company and products.
  • Writes, edits, and reviews content for traditionally printed programs (marketing collateral, trade publication advertising, direct mail, etc.) and/or digital programs (online advertising, micro sites, text campaigns, etc.).
  • Ensures all materials meet internal and external business and legal standards and follows appropriate corporate standards, guidelines, and approval processes.
  • Assists with the distribution process.
  • Assists with process improvements that support operational excellence, and supports business initiatives.
Education/Experience:
  • Requires a BA/BS degree; 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Attention to detail; Organized
  • Writing/proofreading background
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in health care or managed care preferred.
