Job Description:

Vitamin T's client in Richmond, VA is looking for a Graphic Designer for a Temp-to-Perm opportunity.
  • Title: Graphic Designer
  • Opportunity: Temp-to-Perm, potential to convert after 90 days
  • Location: Currently remote due to COVID-19. Onsite in Richmond, VA once it is deemed safe.
  • Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • The Graphic Designer will serve as the primary design resource for the client's internal communications team
  • Create print, digital (website and social) and collateral (e.g., business cards, posters, promotional items) assets for the client.
  • Maintain and evolve theclient's visual identity. Manage the visual component of the client's brand guidelines and serve as resource for visual branding questions.
  • Develop design templates for publications, presentations and other recurring marketing executions
  • Design and execute updates for the client's WordPress-based website.
  • Create social media graphics.
  • Serve as an expert resource to other team members for use of Adobe Creative Cloud. Recommend training resources, coordinate upgrades, etc.
  • Create job specs and obtain production estimates from printers and other external vendors.
  • Manage the department’s job file storage system. Ensure job files have the most recent layout and images are readily accessible for later use.
  • Manage the department’s use of stock photography services. Maintain the library of presentation images for access by Communications team members.
  • Produce video content as needed.
  • Ensure digital executions conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, Level A and Level AA, and Section 508 as published in 2017.
  • Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED; BFA in graphic design strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience designing and producing digital and print communications
  • Demonstrated ability to apply design principles to create resources that increase viewer/reader/user engagement.
  • Previous web design experience.
  • Experience utilizing WordPress or other web CMS
  • Previous experience with MailChimp or other email CMS platform is a plus. Particularly the design and creation of email templates.
  • Prior experience designing for social media is a plus.
  • Previous experience with Adobe Premiere or Final Cut is a PLUS.
  • Strong writing skills are a nice-to-have, but not required
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and customer relationships simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with principles of design for accessibility (508 compliance) is a plus. Must be willing to learn 508 compliance standards as part of duties.
