Desktop Support


We are looking for an experienced, hands-on IT Desktop Technician to assist with and oversee the implementation, backup, and support for all hardware, software, and network policies for our growing operation of approximately 100 people.

The IT Desktop Technician will provide the basic technical support for both onsite and remote end users with regards to company provided hardware, software, and peripherals in office and warehouse environments.

IT Desktop Technicians Job Responsibilities

Maintenance and Repair Support: 50%

• Provide first/second level support to employees and end users with their company provided hardware, software, mobile devices, peripherals, and the basic network.

• Install and configure approved company purchased software for users as required.

• Work with hardware vendors to acquire replacement and/or upgrade parts as needed to fulfill end-user requests.

• Assist in remotely supporting users at other locations, throughout the company and departmental projects.

Computer Setup and Deployment: 40%

• Image, configure and deploy appropriate computer equipment for new employees using company standard image/deployment tools, This equipment is expected to be delivered the day before the new employee arrives and will include the software required for the new employee's position in the company.

• Image and deploy replacement equipment to existing users in compliance with the company's annual equipment refresh plan. This includes verifying that the user's applications transfer to the new machine correctly and with minimal downtime to the end user.

• Following company policy, locate and obtain all tech equipment after an employee is no longer employed as well as back up the computer image and format device to prepare for new deployment.

Ancillary Functions: 10%

• Accurately log time within the company provided time management tool.

• Ensure all work tickets in assigned queue are updated and/or closed correctly.

• Reply to all incoming requests/emails/voicemails in a timely manner.

• Provide onsite support for other technical teams such as Telecom, Networks, and Server.


• Technical, Associates or Bachelor degree. (preferred)

• Two or more year's experience supporting end users. (required)

• Knowledge of troubleshooting Windows operating systems.

• Knowledge of troubleshooting MS Office software.

• Knowledge of software, hardware, and networking.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
