Director of Marketing - Up to $150k/y + $15k bonus + Equity

As the Director of Marketing, you will grow our customer base to its full potential while nurturing our existing, and inspiring, educators. You will report directly in the CEO and be part of the leadership team. The position has a starting compensation of up to $150k + $15k bonus + equity - dependent on qualifications, potential, and experience.

To set you up for success, we have researched and analysed exhaustively which regions, districts, and schools would respond positively to Coding and STEAM. Using a data driven approach, we have also refined a process maximizing your chances of success. Your role will be directly supported by an existing team, while giving you the freedom to hire your own talent. The Global team in in the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia will be supporting your success every step of the way as well.

Your role will consist of:
  • Being directly accountable for the growth of Quality of Leads in the SAM Labs waterfall funnel
    • Owning all Global Marketing demand generation performance metrics (MQLs, SQLs, Conversion rates, CPLs, Acquisition, ROI etc)
    • Provide regular reports on new initiatives and data insights.
    • Build out structured ABM plans that result in new customer acquisition
  • Owning and developing multichannel demand generation campaigns – including nurture flows and lead scoring
    • Drive lead generation through targeted email marketing: manage end-to end campaigns including planning, coordinating, targeting, reporting and optimization
    • Manage SAM Labs website, YouTube and social media channels
    • Attend and oversee key edtech events around the world
    • Manage all paid marketing channels and ensure we're optimising the right keywords and bid strategies
    • Analysis of website and online performance using data to make suggestions to increase traffic, engagement and conversion points in a B2B marketing funnel.
    • Use structured testing to identify new channels that will drive demand for our product
  • Drive and execute the SAM Labs global marketing strategy
    • Act as brand guardian for consistency globally
    • Create go-to-market communications launch strategies alongside key stakeholders to effectively roll out key product launches
    • Own all SAM Labs marketing output, including writing engaging and effective copy
  • Connect and nurture all stakeholders along the funnel all the way to supporting Sales Execs at tradeshows.
  • Launch and improve approaches through rapid and low cost iteration
  • Own and track the marketing budget
  • Collaborate with the product and customer success teams to feed back marketing insights and competitor analysis towards improving our products
  • Manage creative production via both in-house team and external agencies
  • A collaborative manager – you can't do this job properly on your own
  • Proficient in Google Analytics setup, analysis, customisation and refinement techniques
  • Ideally had some exposure to Hubspot CRM & Reporting tools
  • Self-starter – the team is always busy and we don't like micro-managing
  • Exceptional at problem solving & removing development roadblocks
  • + for Education Sales experience
Must haves
  • Detailed understanding of demand generation waterfall and best practices
  • 3+ years management SaaS demand generation experience
  • Proven success in developing and delivering multi channel marketing campaigns
  • Experience owning and delivering automated marketing campaigns
  • Experience managing creative resources
