Marketing Manager


The Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of marketing and sales campaigns that maximize attendance, revenue and engagement across advertising and digital channels, including social media, email, website and in-park displays.

Roles & Responsibilities:

 Development of a strategic marketing and sales plan that exceeds revenue and attendance targets across various audience segments, including group programs, annual/season passes, and promotions.

 Delivery of social media and digital marketing strategies to align with business goals; includes organic and paid content creation, audience engagement and follower growth

 Planning and execution of large-scale special events to drive incremental attendance and new market penetration

 Creation of marketing collateral, key messages and digital media in conjunction with advertising and creative agencies

 Management of the park’s website including copy, images, messaging and e-commerce functionality (product set up and maintenance) to ensure exceptional usability (guest experience) and accuracy

 CRM – Development of email marketing strategies, list segments and deployment calendars to deliver key communication related to key events, updates and promotions

 Management of brand reputation on various online review sites (Google, Trip Advisor, etc.)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Sales, Advertising, Communications or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. Public Relations experience helpful.

 Problem Solving/Analysis: Define problems, research and collect data, draw valid conclusions and execute remedial strategies in a timely manner; submission of weekly reports to General Manager and Park team.

 Project Management: Understand and manage projects from concept to completion.
Develop and achieve strategic objectives, plans and time schedules; organize and manage competing priorities, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to detail; Manage the marketing expense budget in compliance with corporate purchasing procedures

 Executive Presence – Represent the Company well internally and externally; convey a professional and positive image of the organization and business affiliates

 Flexibility – Handle multiple priorities simultaneously; maintain a flexible work schedule to meet changing demands for multiple concurrent projects

 Initiative and Adaptability – Take initiative and execute plans to accomplish strategic objectives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

 Computer Proficiency – MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint);
Experience with Adobe creative platforms a plus

 Creativity – Ability to exercise creativity and story-telling; photography and video editing experience a plus

Experience: Marketing, Sales and Social Media

Other: Physical demands include ability to walk and stand for long periods of time outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat. Ability to perform physical inspections of the Marketing, Birthday, Picnic and special event areas; this may include frequent bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Relationships:

Internal: Work effectively with and support all of the other park Department Managers and

Corporate Marketing staff.

External: Interact with a wide variety of vendors, suppliers and service providers including advertising and creative agencies.

Number of direct reports: 1 FT, 3 Seasonal

Any other relevant comments: Limited travel, participation in regional tourism organizations
