To make travel seamless and enjoyable, the app offers many essential functions from: personalized booking of flights and hotels, to real-time flight updates and even an in-app AR luggage measurement tool. App in the Air has gamified the travel experience making it not only easy, but also fun. The app is available on the Apple App store, Google Play store and Samsung Galaxy store.

Our audience has grown from a small network of dedicated fliers to over six million downloads with 20 million itineraries tracked per year. App in the Air has earned esteemed accolades including one of Appleâs Best Apps of 2015, the leading travel app in the Samsung Galaxy Store and favorite Apple Watch app of 2018.

What weâre looking for:

App in the Air is looking for a Marketing Manager and will report directly to the Marketing Director. Youâll be a critical contributor to our consumer engagement strategy and help drive deep user engagement with our platform by optimizing our content strategy, owning email marketing campaigns, and general customer acquisition efforts. This role will give you the opportunity to work directly with multiple departments.

  • Content Calendar Curation: manage an engaging multi-channel content calendar
  • Email Marketing: develop new, personalized user emails that help drive on-going loyalty with App in the Air - choose relevant content, write engaging subject lines, liaise with design to create assets, launch emails, and report on performance
  • Acquisition Optimization: help manage customer acquisition for App in the Air by developing engagement tools to drive user growth and retention
  • Blog and Social Media Marketing: work internally to develop new, engaging content for the App in the Air blog, and our social media channels, including interviews, holiday messaging, thought leadership posts, infographics and more
  • Continuous Customer Research: research customer audiencesâ preferences via surveys and interviews, and analyze user attributes to inform future content and product development
  • Surprise and Delight Marketing: ideate and identify unique opportunities to truly delight App in the Air customers, above and beyond expectations
  • Other marketing functions as needed!
  • Skills/Requirements:
  • BA/BS is required
  • +3 years of marketing experience
  • You have strong experience building email campaigns (ideally with Mailchimp or SendGrid)
  • You are a passionate marketer with experience developing engaging content for multiple digital media formats
  • You have very strong writing skills with a creative and artistic mindset
  • You are a self-starter who is obsessive about the details and determined to drive results
  • You are data-driven and have experience in user segmentation research
  • You enjoy storytelling and thinking creatively on how to delight customers

  • We are a small distributed team expanding operations in the US. This is a full-time position with full benefits, including Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, 21 days of PTO and paid holidays plus the flexibility to work remotely for some shifts and come to the office as needed. Our office is located at the WeWork Bellevue Place in downtown Bellevue. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available for this position
