Job Summary



Perform data entry tasks associated with the intake of admissions supporting documents for undergraduate applicants on all IU campuses. Acquire and maintain knowledge of admissions and recruitment processing, workflow, and data entry environments, specifically the PeopleSoft IU Student Information System (SIS) and other internal systems. Specialists also assist with other data entry and office tasks as needed.



This position may be located on either of the Indianapolis or Bloomington campuses. It may also be a remote position, for which you will need to demonstrate technology and system access to the following:

  • A high speed, stable internet connection.
  • A quiet, private work environment.
  • A PC running at least Windows 10 or a Mac running Catalina.
  • Two monitors (at least 14 inches each).
  • A full, standard-size keyboard and mouse (trackpad will not suffice).
  • A webcam for Zoom video conferencing.
  • Ability to run Pulse Secure VPN and connect to IUanyware.


Ideally, to make your remote work experience fully supportive, it would be best if you also have access to the following:



A microphone and speakers, or a headset with an attached microphone.



Required Qualifications



High school diploma or GED.



Advanced keyboarding skills. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work well among diverse coworkers in a fast-paced environment. Promptness, dependable attendance, and strong critical thinking skills. Good communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and advanced analytical problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information and to follow workflow processing. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel).



Preferred Qualifications



Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.



Working Conditions / Demands



This position requires a high degree of integrity, accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability. There can be no tolerance for errors, as they will impact a student's admission status. Must develop and maintain consistent daily standards of individual and team performance.



Work Location



May be located on either of the Indianapolis or Bloomington campuses, or be remote.



Advertised Salary



$12.50 per hour.



Work Hours



These are temporary positions with variable hours up to a maximum of 29 per week based on the cycle of admissions work, which is heaviest in October and November. Work schedule occurs between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
