Technical Support Specialist


Clayton Services, a leading recruiting firm, is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join a thriving software company in Houston. The Technical Support Specialist will be tasked with delivering exceptional customer service to assist customers with technical questions and issues. The ideal Technical Support Specialist will have previous experience in a technical support role within the SaaS industry or relevant educational background such as a Computer Science degree.



Technical Support Specialists Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming customer inquiries via live chat, email, and phone from customers
  • Create tickets for reported technical issues/inquiries and accurately update them in CRM database
  • Adapt to customers level of technical expertise to answer questions, concerns, or issues via phone
  • Maintain expert product knowledge of service
  • Properly prioritize support issues and execute proper escalation protocols
  • Utilize MySQL to troubleshoot issues
  • Respond to and handle billing related inquiries
  • Assist in leading support initiatives
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations
Technical Support Specialist Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 years' experience in a technical support role OR relevant education (Computer Science degree) required
  • Previous experience working in the SaaS industry highly preferred
  • Experience working with MySQL, GoToAssist, Salesforce, and/or Zendesk highly preferred
  • Proven ability to effectively and efficiently utilize troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical issues in software
  • Knowledge of Windows 7, 8, and 10 OS on local and remote environments
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to think and make quick decisions independently to come up with resolutions
  • Dependable team player with strong creative thinking abilities
  • Positive attitude and customer service oriented
