Symmetrix Solutions, LLC an elite IT Managed Services and Consulting firm is currently seeking candidates that fit the qualifications below Application Support Specialist We are currently seeking an Application Support Specialist in our DTC office. The Application Support Specialist role is responsible for supporting and maintaining business applications and all related life cycle management processes. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff including Executives. The candidate should be well versed in application troubleshooting in Microsoft environments and will preferably have experience gathering and documenting business requirements. Strong candidates will have experience managingsupporting an ITSM platform and implementing and delivering results using ITIL best practices. Description of DutiesResponsibilities Demonstrable application full life cycle management ndash implementation, support, troubleshooting, configuration management, upgrading and administration experience a must have for this role. Practical working knowledge of ITSMITIL fundamentals. Strong analytical skills, requirements gathering and documentation. Strong verbal and written communication. Ability to write database queries in T-SQL against Microsoft SQL Server or other Database data sources. Ability to create and update Microsoft SQL Server database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, etc.) Some experience with writingediting .Net, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience required. Managingsupporting IT Service Management ticketing systems such as ServiceNow ChangeGear by SunView ConnectWise Manage Jira by Atlassian ZenDesk Salesforce Service Cloud indicates that experience with these tools a huge plus Experience configuring, supporting and managing a Remote Monitoring and Management platform such as Orion by SolarWinds NCentral (N-able) by SolarWindsMSP Nagios indicates that experience with these tools a huge plus PowerShell or other scripting skills a plus. Experience interacting with REST APIs. Software Vendor management. Qualifications Experience in directly supporting business or operations tools applications. External customer facing experience in a software support environment. A positive attitude and desire to make an impact on an organization. Strong problem solving and analytical skills on an Enterprise level. Strong time management skills and multi-tasking abilities. Strong communication skills (listening, written, and verbal) across all organizational constituents. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a small team environment. Experience with client server and web-based applications. Exposure or working knowledge of industry leading Relational Database technologies (Ex. Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and interfacing with database objects through SQL software. Working knowledge of the typical applicationrsquos inter-dependencies and touch points to the Windows OS Microsoft SQL support experience including Reporting and Integration Services (SSRS, SSIS) ndash a Plus Insatiable curiosity and ability to learn new concepts and skills rapidly. Service oriented with outstanding customer service skills, excellent interpersonal skills and proven documentation skills. Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies. The ability to remain calm under pressure and successfully manage stressful situations. The ability to prioritize and track multiple incidents, service requests, and tasks, bringing them to a successful completion or resolution state. Working knowledge of ITIL and Service Management Methodologies with experience in metrics-driven service delivery. EducationExperience Minimum of a Bachelorrsquos Degree (MIS, CS, BAMBA or software engineering related preferred) or 5+ yearsrsquo experience in a similar role andor a technical support position preferred including experience troubleshooting IT Service Management applications.
