Job Summary:

Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager - Ultrasound, the Content Marketing Specialist will aid in driving all marketing content initiatives, both internal and external, across multiple platforms and formats to drive sales, engagement, retention, leads and positive customer behavior. A natural storyteller with outstanding speaking, writing and editing skills, this person should be an expert in content and channel optimization, brand consistency, segmentation and localization, analytics and measurement. The position will work on public relations and marketing initiatives, and alongside Marketing Managers to help define both the brand story and the customer perception.

We’re looking for a collaborative, results-oriented professional who possess a deep understanding of the content marketing landscape; a creative content writer with a gift for crafting impactful copy and the ability to research and write long-form assets that display the breadth of Mindray’s ultrasound capabilities. The candidate should maintain a unique blend of strategic, quantitative and creative abilities. This includes, but is not limited to, copywriting, campaign creation, graphic asset development, sourcing and curating video, print collateral, product brochures, email copy, press releases, trade show copy, and more, in order to connect with clients, drive higher conversion rates and increase brand awareness. A creator with a publishing mindset - you will be responsible for creating the content our audience is looking for and optimizing the path to conversion.



Position Specifications:



  • Essential Functions:



  • Produce a steady flow of creative and meaningful content, both long-form and short-form, including but not limited to; corporate communications, sponsorships, media buys, trade associations, blog posts, newsletters, contributed articles, eBooks to interactive experiences, videos and more
  • Write, edit, proofread and improve content; both new and existing
  • Work closely with Distribution Marketing Manager to manage distributor marketing assets and collateral
  • Assist in the management of content development and scriptwriting for internal educational platform
  • Must be committed to high creativity and willingness to look for new solutions to achieve goals
  • Hypothesize, test, measure, optimize, and scale our marketing content
  • Capture and track public sentiment and interests around the industry
  • Own the curation, development and launch of the quarterly newletter
  • Collaborate with marketing team to repurpose and promote existing content
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies, industry trends and research to guide and develop corresponding collateral
  • Assist with day to day project management across the ultrasound sales and marketing departments
  • Collaborate with Digital Marcom Specialist to develop thoughtful, creative and strategic editorial calendar
  • Define a long-term content strategy to raise awareness, drive relevant traffic to website, and increase conversion velocity
  • Collaborate with sales team to produce high quality sales material including promotions, announcements, emails, newsletters, etc.
  • Serve as final checkpoint for copy before it leaves the department (proofreading, editing, etc.)
  • Occasionally own full spectrum of collateral development from start to finish (designed product) - experience in programs such as Canva or InDesign a plus
  • Assist team with other duties and special projects as assigned



Position Specifications:



Knowledge/Educational Requirement



  • BS/BA in Writing, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Digital Media or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to lead cross-functionally
  • Highly creative and resourceful self-starter with the ability to work independently and a can-do attitude
  • Ability to develop, write, and execute on content promotion programs
  • Understanding of and experience working in the healthcare space is preferred



Skills and Abilities



  • Passion for writing and storytelling accompanied by excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use independent discretion and judgment while determining appropriate course of action or response when in communication with team members, leadership and prospective customers
  • Knowledge of AP Style Guide
  • Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to own projects from end-to-end in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop, write, and execute product-focused marketing programs
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced content development and copywriting abilities
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills - ability to work with large data sets to derive actionable campaign insights
  • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize workload and deliver assigned projects and work on time
  • Design layout and printing process knowledge a plus
  • Works well both independently and in team settings (on-site and virtual)
  • Comfortable presenting information to large groups of people in a clear and concise manner
  • Required knowledge of the following programs (or similar):
    • WordPress and associated tools
    • Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot or similar
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google AdWords
    • Office365
    • Asana or other project management software(s)
  • Preferred knowledge of the following programs
    • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro etc.)
    • Salesforce
    • Additional tools: Prezi, Canva, WebEx/Zoom/ON24
    • Hootsuite
