Paid Media Account Director / Team Lead - Fully Remote! (Digital Marketing Agency)


JOB DESCRIPTION:



We are looking for a seasoned, data-informed media and advertising leader with deep experience in media strategy, buying, execution, and optimization. The Paid Media Account Director / Team Lead will lead the highly experienced team responsible for the planning, buying, execution, and optimization of client strategies and campaigns. 



We are looking for this individual to lead and delegate / execute the vision of our client services by continually improving our client communication, team member hiring & training, and paid channel strategies.





RESPONSIBILITIES:



Oversee the entire paid media team: Coach, manage, and train all Account Managers and Account Specialists as needed.

Develop and enforce paid media department mission, vision, statement of core values, and standard operating procedures in accordance with the guiding principles of Galactic Fed.

Spearhead the ongoing development and improvement of the department’s internal processes and work product delivered to Galactic Fed clients.

Act as a liaison between the Business Development and paid media departments to improve knowledge and understanding of products, services, and offerings with the intention of improving the quality of leads and prospects sold into the paid media department.

Ensure that the paid media department culture and operational environment is one that is accountable, customer-centric, inclusive, intellectually honest, productive, responsive, and sensitive to the needs of all staff members.



Employee and Client Life Cycle Management:

Oversee the hiring, onboarding, training, and developmental processes of new paid media department hires.

Developing new job descriptions and department roles based on opportunities that present itself internally and/or based on external market conditions.

Manage natural attrition and forecasting the number of new hires needed to maintain a healthy number of clients per staff member.

Termination of underperforming staff members, as required.

Ensure channel operational efficiency by monitoring clients/person worksheet and assigning 8+ clients to each staff member (on average).

Ensure accurate and timely completion of all administrative tasks by department staff. This includes time-tracking, adherence to the documentation of tasks in project management software, documentation of deliverables in cloud sharing, objectives, and reporting, etc.

Ensure timely and quality completion of work product delivered from the paid media department’s staff to Galactic Fed clients.

Stay informed of relevant industry, paid media, and paid media platform trends and best practices.

Identify new products, services, and revenue-generating offerings that will develop a long-term, sustainable competitive advantage for the paid media department relative to competitors in the agency marketplace.





REQUIREMENTS:



Native English written and verbal communication is required. No exceptions. 

5+ years of experience in a digital media strategy role (preferably paid media, but also funnel marketing) with budgets exceeding $100k/mo is required.

Expert experience in Facebook and Google Ads advertising is required. 

2+ years of digital media team management is required.

2+ years of client account management experience is required.

Proficiency in Pinterest, Linkedin, Apple Search Ads, Twitter, Programmatic, Bing, YouTube, Yahoo is preferred.

Experience managing / coaching a team of 10+ is preferred.

Experience with both direct response and brand performance marketing is preferred.

Experience with funnel marketing elements is preferred. E.g., landing page building, creative / copy, tracking / attribution, analytics, etc.

Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere.

Ability to clearly and effectively articulate insights and recommended actions.

Strong levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
